What is Nudura ICF

Nudura Insulated Concrete Forms (ICFs) are engineered foam building blocks that are stacked and reinforced with rebar and poured concrete in the middle.  The walls (inside and outside) have 2.5 inches of continuous foam insulation with reinforced fastening strips (or studs) every 8 inches.  Inside the wall is rebar and concrete.

Depending on
preference, snow load, insulation, and structural requirements, the concrete core thickness can range from  4" - 12". The concrete in the wall is directly connected to your footings below the frost line, creating a continuous, reinforced structure from the ground up.

The foam insulation helps maintain consistent interior temperatures year-round.
Compared to traditional wood framing, ICF construction can reduce heating and cooling costs by over 60% while also improving overall comfort and energy efficiency.

Standard insulation (R-value) for the typical ICF Series is around R-24, and with thicker EPS options or the Plus Series, R-values can go as high as R-48. All forms include full-height fastening strips along the webs so that finishes (drywall, siding, etc.) can be screwed in cleanly.

Additionally you may choose to build using steel framing & trusses instead of wood, an eco-friendly, flood, fire and mold-resistant method of construction.

The design and strength of these structures provides unique opportunity for architectural style and creativity, *including Brian Head, UT's first 3% sloped roof!*
