Soil Sample Test Hole
Generally, as part of a Septic Permit the Southwest Utah Public Health Department (SWUPHD) requires soil (environmental) and percolation tests (geotechnical). A soil sample hole is dug and an engineer takes a sample of your dirt from around 12ft deep, then tests it to see what it is made of and how well it percolates/drains.
Grading & Drainage
